There are many stores and restaurants nearby, including — among many others — a Petsmart (convenient for picking up an extra carrier or forgotten supplies!), a grocery store, a Walmart, and a McDonald’s).
The Country Inn & Suites has several amenities, including an indoor swimming pool and an outdoor hot tub. Also, a hot breakfast is served with waffles, sausage & biscuits, fresh fruit, and more.
There is also an attached restaurant, Beacon Hills, which is a well-known restaurant in Lincoln.
If you prefer to stay at a hotel other than the Country Inn & Suites, you will also find many other hotels nearby, including:
- La Quinta Inn (N. 27th Street) - Gerbil-friendly, no pet fees
- Microtel Inn (27th & Fairfield Street) - Pets allowed, $10 fee
- Super 8 (27th & Cornhusker Hwy) - Pets allowed, $10 fee

| 10:00 am | Trick or Treat - Give our gerbils something good to eat! (Trick or treat bags will be provided for gerbil tanks.) |

| 11:20 am | Show Call: All gerbils who will compete in the show should be placed on the judging tables. (Please check the Show Rules & Regulations page ahead of time to make sure that your gerbils have the proper size of show carrier. Also, remember to provide each gerbil in the show with a source of moisture/water, such as a piece of carrot or a grape.) |
