There are many stores and restaurants nearby, including — among many others — a Petsmart (convenient for picking up an extra carrier or forgotten supplies!), a grocery store, a Walmart, and a McDonald’s).

The Country Inn & Suites has several amenities, including an indoor swimming pool and an outdoor hot tub. Also, a hot breakfast is served with waffles, sausage & biscuits, fresh fruit, and more.

There is also an attached restaurant, Beacon Hills, which is a well-known restaurant in Lincoln.

If you prefer to stay at a hotel other than the Country Inn & Suites, you will also find many other hotels nearby, including:

• La Quinta Inn (N. 27th Street) - Gerbil-friendly, no pet fees
• Microtel Inn (27th & Fairfield Street) - Pets allowed, $10 fee

Schedule

Friday, October 30th
5:00-6:00 pm	Health inspectors arrive and set up
6:00-9:00 pm	Health inspections
6:00-10:00 pm	Set up on show floor
10:00-11:30 pm	Socializing & Halloween tank decorations!
Saturday, October 31st
8:00-10:00 am	Health inspections
10:00 am	Trick or Treat - Give our gerbils something good to eat! (Trick or treat bags will be provided for gerbil tanks.)
10:30 am	Clean up & preparation for the public
11:00 am	Open to the public
11:20 am	Show Call: All gerbils who will compete in the show should be placed on the judging tables. (Please check the Show Rules & Regulations page ahead of time to make sure that your gerbils have the proper size of show carrier. Also, remember to provide each gerbil in the show with a source of moisture/water, such as a piece of carrot or a grape.)
11:30-noon	Judges' meeting and lunch.
Noon	Judging starts
4:00 pm	Best In Show Judging Begins
4:30 pm	Show Results Champion & Breeder Certificate Presentations Doors close to the public
5:00 pm	Group photo Pet Class
5:45 pm	Clean up. Must be out of show room by 7 pm.
7:00 pm	Banquet Dinner (on site) Gerbil Bingo
9:00 pm	Socializing and/or  swimming (pool is open until midnight)
