Colorpoint Nutmeg Male

Age: 1.5 years

Judges Comments:
This male really has the “wow” factor. He has a beautiful, masculine body type. He has lovely cinnamon coloring along his back, and his fur looks soft and shiny, well-prepared for show. His tail, nose, and ears pleasing points, but I’d like to see his feet a little bit darker. His head is great! He has wide-set, almond eyes, and long, bristling whiskers, although it is hard to tell if his whiskers are white. His head is well-set into his body. I cannot say enough good things about this fellow.

Best of Opposite

Daisy Squeaky Winks Clan

Owner: Melissa Yunke

CP-001

Colorpoint Slate Female

Age: 3 months

Judges Comments:
What a lovely little girl! She looks to have a nice feminine build, but I would love to see a view directly from the side. This angle is more from above. I would like to see if there are white hairs hiding under her chin. Her coat is sleek and shiny, except the hair in front of her shoulders. She has a beautiful, dark tail with a nice tuft. Her back feet are dark as they should be, but her front feet appear to be light. It looks like she has thick, dark whiskers. She has a beautiful head. Her overall color is attractive, but seems a bit light for a colorpoint slate, at least in these photos.

Second Place

ABC’s Banjo

Owner: Donna Anastasi

CP-006

Burmese Male

Age: 1 year

Judges Comments:
This is a very striking male! His coloration is very pleasing, topped off with a shiny coat. His head shape is stunning, just like the standards call for -- short, broad, and well-set into the body. He appears to only have a little white under his nose, and none on his paws, which is great! This angle makes his tail look short, which may or may not be the case. It looks like he has a good tuft, but that his tail gets thinner at the end. I would love to see him with a little more bulk.

Third Place

MS’s Fandago

Owner: Katie Johnson

CP-003

Colorpoint Slate Male

Age: 3 months

Judges Comments:
This is a handsome, young-looking male. If he is indeed young, he looks like he’s on his way to getting his adult male bulk. His coloration looks to be consistent with a true colorpoint slate, although his side view is a little washed out. His head is attrctive with thick, long whiskers. He does appear to have a bit of white under his nose, and one white finger! He has a lovely build, and I would love to see this boy in person.

Honorable Mention

Guthrie Springfield Block of Knolls Gerbils

Owner: Judith & Stuart Block

CP-002

Siamese Male

Age: 2 years

Judges Comments:
He looks like a cute little man -- like he’s posing and smiling for the camera. His whiskers are thick in his head shot. He has very little white on his “mustache.” His tail is nice and dark. He looks like he has good male bulk as well. It would be easier to evaluate this little guy if he was out of the aquarium, on all fours, against a background color that complements his coat. I do think he has great potential.

Outstanding Senior

RW’s Rebecca’s Evening Coco

Owner: Rebecca Ward

CP-005

Siamese Female

Age: 2.75 years

Judges Comments:
This girl has a pretty head with nicely-shaped almond eyes. I love how her color darkens gradually and evenly from the top of her head to her nose. Her whiskers look nice and long! She does have the white under her nose and on her paws, but her nails are nice and dark. She looks like she has a pleasant, feminine build. My biggest concern is her tail. It looks like she either has lighter hair mixed with the dark hair, or her hair is thinning there. She is also not showing off her tuft in these pictures, which could be due to the angle.

Squeak Pea

Colorpoint Nutmeg Female

Age: 1.5 years

Owner: Linette Stephenson

Judges Comments:
In her first photo, this lady looks like she has a very pretty color -- it looks liek she has been sprinkled with cinnamon! Her color cannot be evaluated in the second picture, because it is very washed out from a light or flash. Her coat looks very soft and well-prepared. I would like to see a better direct view of her side, because her angle in these pictures makes her tail appear short. She has a pretty face with nice, long whiskers. I appreciate her dark toenails but would like to see darker points on her feet. She also has no obvious molt lines which is always an accomplishment with nutmegs. Keep showing this girl!

#CP-007

HLG Cuthbert

Burmese Male

Age: 4 months

Owner: Hoffman Family

Judges Comments:
This male has nice points. I like the dark contrast from his nose to the top of his head, his dark ears, and the contrast between his tail color and body color. In his side photo, his head does not look like it is well-set into his body, giving him a bit of a hunched appearance. He has some fur separation, which may be helped with more dust baths. He has a good tuft, but his tail looks like it is not straight at the end.
