Spot Class

Best In Class

PFG’s Tinkerbell

Owner: Katie McQueen

SP-004

Spotted Black Female

Age: 6 months

Judges Comments:
This girl has an excellent feminine (and muscular) build and a stiking jet black color. Her spotting is pleasing and nicely defined (including her feet and chest spotting), would like to see a bigger tail spot. She has no white hairs straying into the coat outside of the spots -- a just about impossible feat.

Best of Opposite

Squeaks’ BWC’s Sebastian

Owner: Kylee Dickey

SP-008

Spotted Nutmeg Male

Age: 1.5 years

Judges Comments:
Absolutely love the body shape on this boy, wonderfully bulky with a wide, short head set into the body. Nice! So soft looking. And what great poses (I want to hug him). His nose, head, and neck spots look good. Would like to see more of a tail spot and tuft. All toenails should be clear. Flash might be washing out his color, which could be richer with more/even black ticking. I’d love to judge him in person.

Second Place

PFG’s Doc

Owner: Katie McQueen

SP-007

Spotted Nutmeg Male

Age: 6 months

Judges Comments:
I like the shape of this boy, though he appears to still be maturing into his full bulk. Nice almond eyes and long, fanning whiskers (looks very inquisitive and friendly in Photo 2). Appears to have the right nose, head, and neck spot, but missing tail spot. The flash is washing out the fur color, but it appears to have nice gold coloring with even black ticking.

Third Place

MS’s Gus

Owner: Katie Johnson

SP-002

Spotted Colorpoint Agouti Male

Age: 6 months

Judges Comments:
He looks more grey than cinnamon (could he be a colorpoint grey agouti? I’m judging these photos as such). Nice, wide head, and good bulk. His color appears a bit washed in the photo. His tail had a nice thickness, but it is not held perfectly straight. Good, clear classic spot spotting pattern.

MS’s Spag

Spotted Agouti Male

Age: 6 months

Owner: Katie Johnson

Judges Comments:
This boy has rich golden agouti coloring with brilliant white belly and paws, and all the right spots in all the right places! Nice long hairs on the tuft. Nice shape to the eyes. He appears young and needs more male bulk with stronger neck/shoulder muscles and thicker tail -- bulk him up and keep showing him.

Seabiscuit

Spotted Colorpoint Nutmeg Male

Age: 18 months
Owner: Linette Stephenson

Judges Comments:
This guy has a very nice wide head and a straight, thick tail. He is also nicely bulky, but his ticking could be more cinnamon. Colorpoint nutmeg is a difficult color to get just right (and to photograph!), but this is a beautiful boy.

HHG’s Simone

Spotted Siamese Female

Age: 1.5 years

Owner: Diane Nott

Judges Comments:
This girl has a nice slim build and a very pretty dark tail. Her tail could be a little straighter and tuftier. From the front photo, her nose looks red, which is usually caused by a bedding allergy (consider a switch in bedding type and dabbing a little Neosporin).

SB’s Designers Legacy

Spotted Colorpoint Nutmeg Female

Age: 6 months
Owner: Christine Stys

Judges Comments:
This girl has a beautiful, tufty and straight tail and nice large tail spot. She has a nice wide head. She is a good size for a female with a strong rear, but could use more bulk/muscle in the neck/shoulders. She also is light for a colorpoint nutmeg (maybe due to the flash?) -- on a colorpoint nutmeg, I’d like to see more cinnamon ticking with darker nose/tail points -- she may do better if shown as a silver point. A very pretty girl.
