Mottled Black Female

Judges Comments:

Beautiful head shape and eye! Very pretty. Tufty tail. The white collar is broken with parts of solid colored fur, which we like to see for mottled. Well photographed. Nice build and style, she carries off the win today.

Pied Siamese Male

Judges Comments:

I appreciate this gerbil's clean spotting pattern. Nice clean perimeter to his collar without patches of other color. Centrally placed face spots and a nice tail tip complete his pied pattern markings. I would like the sideview photo to be straighter (he is turned towards the camera). Tail could be darker. Overall a handsome boy, and his markings are excellent.

Pied Black Male

Judges Comments:

Bit of black drifitng into collar. Solidly built but looks like he had second thoughts on posing for pics! His head looks to be a good width. I like the dark base coat.

Pied Slate Male

Judges Comments:

Really like the base color on this boy, its nice and dark. His pattern is cute (impossible to find a non-cute gerbil!) however he has a very broken collar and small tail tip. The face or front view photo is nicely taken, great detail.

Mottled Black Male

Judges Comments:

Cutie! I would like to see the collar broken up more to match his mottled coat pattern. Seems on the small side, perhaps still growing up. A very straight tail is a plus, with a lot of tuft. I always like to see those longer white tail tips!

Pied Black Male

Judges Comments:

This male's collar is broken i.e. has some black fur mixing with the white. It looks like his head is narrow and perhaps has a slightly long tail. He seems to have no white patches in back part of coat which is not required for the class, but it is IMO a pretty contrast to the markings of pied.

Mottled Black Male

Judges Comments:

An attractive color to be sure, although he tends towards patches of white instead of variegated with a nearly solid white collar. Face runs narrow. Coat looks soft and clean.
